New Girl in Town began as a dream shared by two international students studying in the Netherlands. Feeling out of place in the local beer-party scene, we wanted to create something different—a safe, inclusive space where women could connect, socialize, and have fun.

Our very first event, a picnic, didn’t go as planned. The Dutch weather had other ideas, forcing us to shift to a last-minute lunch. The turnout was small, and profits were nonexistent, but the connections and joy we witnessed inspired us to keep going.

New Girl in Town isn’t just a community; it’s a movement, a network, and a way of life. We’re here to support, empower, and connect women every step of the way.

Over time, we learned, improved, and hosted more events. Though we weren’t making much money, we were building something far more valuable: a community. Fast forward to when Kristina, one of our co-founders, moved to Dubai. She decided to introduce New Girl in Town to the city. The first Dubai event saw just five attendees, but today, our parties regularly attract over 130 women.

Our journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s a testament to the power of persistence and passion. We’ve created a space where women can chase their dreams, build their network, and grow together. Our story proves that anything is possible, and we hope it inspires women everywhere to take a leap of faith and join us on this journey.
